PipeCD at KubeCon India 2026

We Made It to KubeCon India!

KubeCon India 2026 was huge. Thousands of attendees from the cloud-native world developers, maintainers, DevOps engineers, students, all under one roof. The energy was unreal.

And this time, PipeCD had its own booth at the Project Pavilion.

There were four of us at the booth: Eeshaan Sawant, Rahul Shendre, Ayush More, and Harshit Ghagre. Honestly, the kind of conversations we had over those two days were something we did not expect. We had over 200+ conversations across the event — questions about how PipeCD works, how it compares to Argo CD, how to migrate from other tools, and how to get started contributing to PipeCD.

The Talk: GitOps Without Boundaries

One of the highlights for us was the talk delivered by Eeshaan Sawant — “GitOps Without Boundaries: Deploy to Infrastructure and Workloads with PipeCD”.

Eeshaan walked through how PipeCD takes a different approach to GitOps. Most tools out there focus mainly on Kubernetes, but PipeCD goes beyond that. It lets you deploy to Kubernetes workloads, cloud infrastructure (Terraform, Cloud Run, ECS) and even custom targets all from a single platform.

The session covered:

  • How PipeCD works under the hood
  • How it handles multi-cluster and multi-cloud deployments
  • The plugin-based architecture that makes it flexible
  • Real-world use cases of teams running PipeCD in production
  • PipeCD v1 moves all deployments into a flexible plugin system

Questions Attendees Asked

This was probably the most interesting part — standing at the booth and just talking to people, understanding what they need, what problems they face, and what they think about PipeCD.

  • How is PipeCD different from ArgoCD or FluxCD?
  • Can we migrate from ArgoCD or FluxCD to PipeCD?
  • Which organizations are using PipeCD in production?
  • How are secrets handled in PipeCD?

These discussions gave us valuable feedback on where the community is today and what they’re looking for from modern GitOps platforms.

The Conversations That Stuck With Us

  • A platform engineer told us they manage deployments across 3 cloud providers and were struggling to keep things consistent. PipeCD’s unified approach clicked with them right away.
  • A few students stopped by to ask what GitOps even means. We spent time explaining the basics and it reminded us why these events matter.
  • Some folks from the ArgoCD community also came by to understand the differences, those were some of the most productive conversations we had.

Thank You, KubeCon India

To everyone who stopped by the PipeCD booth, asked questions, shared feedback, or just said hello — thank you.

Meeting the community in person, hearing about real-world deployment challenges, and seeing the excitement around GitOps made this an unforgettable experience for our team.

We can’t wait to see you at the next KubeCon!
